How many women get cancer? According to the American Cancer Society, it is estimated that in 2011 in the United States there will be 230,480 cases of invasive cases, 57,650 new cases and 39,520 deaths. Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women. These numbers are down from what they were, but still high enough to know that we can't give up in our search for a cure.
Hanes has started a campaign that anyone on Facebook can use. All you have to do is send a free Virtual Comfort Care Package using the app they created. For every one sent, they will donate $1 in support of breast cancer awareness. You make it personal by adding your choice of one of 6 items, from music, to videos or a simple note among other things.
It's free, easy, quick, and goes out in support of a cause that has affected and continues to affect countless numbers of people everywhere. The donation portion of this campaign ends 10/31/11, so please send some out before the deadline.
